“I was born in Love” , Kenny Edmonds said..

Okay, comin’ to a jazz festival and see Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds is kinda splitted-genre. But in the end, that was a good show to be seen! Who cares?!
Entertaining. That is a word that Babyface’s show deserved on last JJF 2010. It was not a very hilarious and great concert if I compared  with some performers who already played in Jakarta, but Babyface has his own style to get memorized his audience.

If you’re not a big fan of Babyface and had just expected his big hits coming out, you must be very disappointed to see the show. His other songs like Never Keeping Secret, Fire and Rain were sounds unfamiliar to the most audiences. Well, it was his second show here anyway and yes, his ultimate song Everytime I close my eyes saved the night to get people sung along.

One thing that made Kenny different from other artist was he loves and loves to tell his fans stories and jokes during the show!. “I was born in love” he said, and then he named all the girls he had crushed with, included his 5th grade elementary teacher.
Also from the story, we can found that he is a huge fan of Michael Jackson, he dedicated Gone to Soon that night, well-pitched. In the middle of the show, he showed us how good musician he is, with some solo and battle guitar playing. Two Eric Clapton’s songs; Wonderful tonight and Change the World proved his guitar skill even more.

Finally, His last song When Can I See You Again successfully blown away the crowd and made a great closing. End of word, Soulful!
